Amber Fields says: "I have AML leukemia. It's a blood cancer. It's at stage 4."

In February of this year Amber Fields life turned upside down.

Amber says: "We went to the doctor because my mom thought I had low iron because I had black circles under my eyes and I was pale."

During that visit doctors put Amber on an oxygen machine and admitted her to the Intensive Care Unit. Shortly after that, she found out she had AML and came to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis.

Amber says: "It made me feel like I was going to be different in some way. Like I was going to be different from everybody else."

The eleven-year-old likes shopping and playing with her baby sister. She's also a huge fan of Elvis music and hopes to visit Graceland while she's in Memphis. Amber says aside from feeling nauseous from the chemotherapy things haven't been that bad since she came to the hospital.

Amber says: "They should know St. Jude isn't just another hospital. It's like a miracle worker. They do this stuff you. And you, they make you feel like you're special."
