Make him pick up garbage for 1000 days. Maybe he will like working and get a job or not like work and learn how to avoid getting caught.

This is what is wrong with our world today. Leave the poor man alone. Does it say he is being arrested for driving drunk? No he was drunk out in public. Like we dont see worse on our telivision everyday. We have child molesters, rapist and murderers out on the street, and we are worried about someone being drunk? Think about it people.

Henry *is* Lexington's current reigning town drunk. There was another infamous town drunk over a century ago: in 1833, over 1500 people died during Lexington's cholera epidemic... the town drunk known as "King Solomon" was virtually immune from the disease due to alcohol, and for awhile was the only one available to bury the dead, making him a cult hero of that time.

If he was in mayberry the cops would have simply called him the town drunk and took him home. why can't he just be the town drunk? Every town has one in new Orleans we have thousands and tourist too!

He does live in the streets actually! He doesn't have the luxary of going home and kicking back and drinking a few cold ones. He is forced to sleep on the street day and night. I agree with maddrox, this is ludacris...

why did it take 1,000 arrests before this man actually got some kind of real sentence? did he need to actually get behind the wheel and kill someone before they were gonna do something? AI is not a big charge but come on 1000 times that is obsurd.

Sounds Like this guy has no home and all he wants to do is live off the system which is pretty stupid they should make him go live on the streets. He is just doing this to get attention. What a dumb court system!!!!!

For those of you with a minimal/nonexistent understanding of the criminal justice system, public alcohol intoxication is a misdemeanor crime. Therefore his arrests are not only Constitutional, but also justified. Also you might be surprised to learn that judges do lock up the mentally unstable. The fact that he can't stay out of jail is not a cry for help, but a testimony to his unwillingness to change and make anything of himself.

What has this man done other than get drunk? This is unconstitutional. What will the judge do next, lock up the mentally unstable?

Give the guy a cookie! He's come a long way. If you ask me I think that they should build a monument for him.

This is a cry for help if I have ever seen one. There is a really deep rooted issue that this man is being tormented by that causes him to continue to drink this state. I pray that throught the system he will be able to get the help he needs and Find God be that is the only way that healing will take place.
