This is as sick as it gets! That owner needs to spend the rest of their lives in jail until death.
I hope the person who abused the horse is punished severly. He should be starved and treated just like he did the horse.
You go Copy, and Kudos to the wonderful lady that took you in. This is a crime and should be treated as such. NO animal ever deserves this, and there is always places that will take in horses. I know, I am a rescue. It is all about power to hurt a large animal to make someone feel good, now it is time for the former owner to feel how it is in jail. At least he will be fed, which is more than he did for copy, and if he is lucky, someone won't shoot him. Make an example of this abuser. Don't give him a slap on the wrist. Copy is not out of the woods yet, he has months, and months to go, and could still pass away from abuse.
Should be a crime and punished as a crime!!! Animal Cruelty should not be tolerated and it's about time that our laws in this area are enforced and become stricter regarding this terrible thing
