A new alcohol ordinance requires all those who serve alcohol in Bowling Green to go through a training course.
Employees have 30 days from the day they are hired to be certified. The training informs employees about the effects of alcohol.
If restaurants or bars fail to meet the requirements of the alcohol ordinance they could face stiff penalties.
