Camp TJ has been helping area children with special needs for the past seven years. And each summer, the kids seem to enjoy it more and more.
"I get to see old friends and new ones and have fun. I love it here."
The camp is designed for children ages 3 to 21 who have disabilities.
Therapists from T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow work with children focusing on everything from social skills to coordination. Kids participate in physical, occupational, art, music and speech therapy.
"It raises kid's self-esteem and allows them to have fun in a non-competitive environment. For some of these children, it's the only time they'll get to go to summer camp."
Camp TJ runs through Friday.
