Although there was a report of a fight involving two men before one of them drowned in the Green River, authorities say they believe the death was accidental.
The body of 26-year-old Jarrod Beasley was pulled from the river near a Rockport boat ramp Monday after he's been missing since Sunday.
Ohio County Sheriff Elvis Doolin says when officers showed up at the riverbank to investigate the fight, Beasley was missing.
One of the two men he had been with was gone, and the other was reported to be drunk, still on the riverbank. Beasley's clothes were folded neatly on the riverbank along with his shoes. The man who left the scene was found and questioned. He said Beasley and the man with whom he fought made up and went swimming.
