The man linked to the death of a University Of Kentucky student in 1997 has been executed.
Angel Resendiz, better known as the Railroad Killer, died by lethal injection in Texas just after seven last night. In his final words, he asked for forgiveness.
Resendiz was connected to at least 15 murders across the country, including the death of Christopher Maier. Maier was killed while walking to a party near the UK campus in august of ‘97.
The execution was delayed for two hours while the U.S. Supreme Court considered a number of last-second appeals by Resendiz's lawyers, which were denied.
