Brownsville Deals with Brown Water
Many folks in Edmonson County are heading to the faucet only to find the water coming out of it cloudy and brown. But officials there tell us residents shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Will Brownville ever have an online website, where I can go online see & pay my bill?

The water looks nasty and smells nasty and they expect you to drink it and bathe your children in it. When is it going to get better? When you do laundry it makes it look dingy, are they gonna pay for that?

Murky Brown water flows in the water lines of Chalybeate too and it is getting worse... Quote "What's happened is all the iron and magnesium content that's settled in the bottom of the lake is flushed out and it comes out in a big quantity," end quote... explained Nelson Sanders, general manager of the Edmonson County Water District. Well now that makes me feel better about drinking the water, not to mention washing my clothes or taking a bath in it.. I'm wondering who were the state officials who tested our drinking water... Hmmm no names mentioned... No I think I will buy bottled water myself and send the water company my water bill...

Is your water bill going to be reduced because of the bad water that you can not drink ??

Its not just in Brownsville I live 10 minutes out of Brownsville in Edmonson County and my water is brown also. The bath water looks like you rolled in a mud puddle before you even get in it.
