While many students are counting the days until summer vacation one group of elementary students is conducting a final countdown. Butler County's Third District Elementary School will soon be closing. School officials decided to close the small school after a declining enrollment and tight budget.

The last day of school at Third District is May 22nd. Next year students who have attended the school will go to Morgantown Elementary. School officials are still deciding what to do with the empty school building.
