The number of Hispanic students attending Kentucky schools is expected to increase over the next decade.
A non-profit group that advises 16 southern states says in 12 years, one out of four high school diplomas will go to Hispanic students.
The Southern Regional Education Board says that's up from one out of 33 diplomas this year.
Kentucky Education Commissioner Gene Wilhoit says he's suprised by the growth being projected.
Education Officials and census data says Kentucky has seen growth in its overall Hispanic population in recent years, especially in cities like Bowling Green, Louisville, and Lexington.
