Twenty-one-year-old Lucas B. Goodrum is being held on a $1 million cash bond after being arrested in connection with the WKU residence hall fire that claimed the life of Katie Autry.

Goodrum was arrested at 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the KSP Post in Bowling Green.

Police say Goodrum has no affiliation with the University, but would not comment on specific details.

Eighteen-year-old Melissa Katie Autry died last Wednesday night, a few days after suffering third degree burns in a fire in her Hugh Poland Hall room shortly after 4 a.m. May 4.

Authorities confirmed the fire was arson. Authorities also confirmed a rape kit was performed on Autry following the fire.
