Kentucky Democrats are being quiet about next year's governor's race while state Republicans bicker over whether Governor Ernie Fletcher will be the party's choice in 2007.
The Democrats are waiting for U.S. Representative Ben Chandler to decide whether to run for governor again.
He lost to Fletcher in 2003.
State Auditor Crit Luallen has said she's looking at the possibility of running but says her plans depend on Chandler's.
Another major potential candidate, former Lieutenant Governor Steve Henry, says he expects to make a decision soon about a possible run.
Henry says Chandler's decision won't play a role in whether he'll run.
