The Bowling Green Community has lost an important member. J.C. Kirby, the founder of J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Chapel, passed away on June 23.
Kirby was born and raised in Bowling Green, but he also fought in World War II, and built a school for the handicapped.
Visitation will be held on June 25 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Broadway Chapel.
The funeral will be held on June 26 at 3 p.m. at the Lover's Lane Chapel.
