One Cool Spot

"It's so hot outside. I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walking."

"I didn't know it was gonna be that hot."

"It's hot."

Everyone's suffering from the heat, but some have found a way to keep cool.

"You do get chills down here."

"We came here because it was cool inside."

Some are doing the cool thing this summer and going "caving."

Visitors from as far away as Michigan are vacationing down under.

"We went into Mammoth Cave yesterday it was very nice below but then you come back up and you can feel the heat."

"Oh the visitors say they want to stay in the cave. You can feel it as you go back up and they say: "Oh I don't want to go!"

Becky Bierman is the lead guide at Lost River Cave. She says the real lucky ones are the workers who give boat tours all day long. They get to stay in the 57 degree weather while touring the cave.

"That's one of the reasons why we went down yesterday (because it's 57 degrees)."

If you can’t imagine life with out air conditioning Lost River Cave used to coin itself as "the only night club in the U.S. with air conditioning."

The cave naturally emits cool air giving its patrons much relief during these hot spells.
