KSP Trooper Todd Holder says two Hispanic men believed to be in their twenties robbed the Tienda David in Cave City and then headed south on I-65.
Law enforcement trailed the pair onto Old Louisville Road where they abandoned their car in a field next to Mount Hebrew Presbyterian Church and took off on foot.
Police used the K-9 unit and a helicopter to try to locate the men who they believe were hiding in the field.
After nearly four hours police say that the search had failed to produce the two men.
The suspects are described as Hispanic males, who were last seen wearing dark blue short-sleeved shirts, white t-shirts, blue jeans, and bandanas.
If you have any information concerning the whereabouts of these men, please contact the Kentucky State Police at (270) 782-2010.
