On April 16, a portion of a human skull was found in a wooded area in McCreary County, known as Parker's Mountain. DNA analysis determined that the human bone fragment was that of Carol Neal.
Bowling Green Police are in McCreary County searching for clues and witnesses that may be of assistance in this long standing investigation. Warren County Commonwealth's Attorney Steve Wilson says the case was at a standstill until this discovery.
He says everything will be re-examined as authorities search for Neal's killer.
