BB&T Bank on Russellville Road was robbed at 3:08p.m. on Wednesday. The suspect was captured quickly.
34 year old Russell Shelton from Morgantown was taken into custody when police saw him trying to break into a home off Creason Street, just a few blocks from the bank that he allegedly robbed.
He was apprehended without incident, even though he was carrying a sawed off shotgun.
No one was injured in the robbery.
