A large meth bust in Butler County has led to several arrests for an area Sheriff's Department and may lead even more. The Butler County Sheriff's Department arrested twelve people Thursday morning. Many of the residents are from Butler County and some are from Ohio County. All of them are being charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Butler County Sheriff, Kenneth Morris, says they received a tip about the meth lab and had been watching the residence on Brownsville Road for a while. Police say they smelled a strong chemical coming from inside the house when they pulled up.
When police tried to enter the home, the subjects fled. One woman was sent to the hospital during the arrest after she hurt herself running from the scene. She was believed to be intoxicated. Sheriff Morris says they are expecting to arrest two more people.
