Electrical problems forced an area school system to cancel classes today and tomorrow. Officials in allen county announced late this morning that school will remain closed through Wednesday.
A blown transformer left the high school without power Monday evening. Tri-County Electric is in the process of replacing the transformer. Company officials tell us they hope to have electricity restored sometime tomorrow. Meanwhile school administrators say students will have to make up the missed days.
Meg Crittenden, Allen County Assistant Superintendent of Instruction says, “Basically, we will add on days at the end of the year, but the Board of Education always reserves the right to change the calendar to make up days during the year if they see fit.”
Again school has been canceled tomorrow for students in the Allen County school system.
