Kentucky's Corn Crops Record High

This could be a record-setting year for Kentucky corn crops.

Officials say Kentucky's corn season was excellent and the Midwest has seen at least an average crop - despite a drought.

A University of Kentucky grain marketing expert says that even though there is a large corn reserve there is still high demand for the crop. One reason for the high demand is the fact that corn is also used to produce ethanol, and interest in the alternative fuel has increased over the last few years as industry officials look for ways to fix the nation's oil issues.
