The Edmonson County School District is getting a little help from the Reynolds Family, through the "Reynold's Foundation."

The School System had applied for a federal grant, but had to match at least ten percent of the grant by a local contributor, which is where the Reynold's Foundation came in.
The family presented the school district with a 150,000 donation, far exceeding that 10-percent.

The superintendent of Edmonson County Schools says the grant will help more than just the school district.

The federal government has awarded the school district a grant of $500,000.
