A spokesman for the FBI in Louisville, Ky., says agents are investigating threats against a family in Ohio County. Spokesman David Beyer said the agency is also looking into a case in Warren County, Ky., in which a family from El Salvador was harassed. He says an official investigation has not yet been opened in that case.

Carl Callaway of Beaver Dam, Ky., received threatening letters late last month and KKK was painted on his residence. Callaway is a security guard at Ohio County High School.

The Warren County Sheriff's Department is investigating the burning of a cross in the front yard of Nelson Espinoza's house just outside Bowling Green, Ky. A sign was posted that read: "My country maybe, My Neighborhood, no way!"
