America's largest retailer of RV and outdoor accessories and supplies is moving its call center back to Bowling Green, Ky.

Around 18 months ago the company moved the call center to Denver, Colo., to try to save money.

Now, the company has decided that it will be a better fit to have the center in its original location in the Bowling Green, Ky., headquarters.

"I think we learned from moving it to Denver that you do have this kind of water cooler activity that goes on and where you can be closer to members that are taking the calls and you can react and respond quicker than you can a thousand miles away in Denver", said Camping World's Chief Operating Officer Mark Boggess.

Employees will assist customers in placing product orders, provide technical support, and resolve customer service questions.

"We take a lot of calls. I'd say upwards of probably 5,000 calls a day is not uncommon", Boggess said.

The expansion will add 40 positions over the next couple of months and will grow to 60 positions seasonally.

"I felt a lot worse back then saying I had to remove jobs 18 months ago and it's a great feeling to be able to say we're going to bring 60 jobs back to Warren County and Central Kentucky", Boggess said.

The call center is to start operating by January 1st, 2007.
