Celebration is taking place for National Constitution Day around the country and here in South Central Kentucky.
This afternoon Cumberland Trace Elementary held one of many ceremonies. In an effort to convey that the Constitution does indeed represent us all, the school invited diverse members of the community to take part in the reading and ceremonial signing of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Each person read a portion of the document starting with the Preamble then signed their name. Students at Cumberland Trace will also have an opportunity to sign the Constitution Sept. 19, 2006, through Sept. 22, 2006, in the school library.
