Kentucky State Police charged 47-year-old Ralph Glen Adkins with "driving under the influence," when he crashed into a utility pole on Morgantown Road last Wednesday.
52-year-old David McKinney was unable to maneuver his motorcycle to avoid the accident. He was electrocuted when he slid into the electrical wires from the utility pole.
Adkins is charged with reckless homicide in McKinney’s death.
Yesterday Adkins' bond was revoked from dui and drug charges he had pleaded guilty to, just two weeks before last Wednesday’s fatal accident.
Adkins is now in jail on a $100,000 cash bond. He has a preliminary hearing Wednesday afternoon.
