A widespread power outage affected some Warren RECC customers this morning, primarily along areas north of Bowling Green including Plum Springs, Richardsville and Bristow.

The outage also affected the WBKO transmitter site in Richardsville.

According to Rick Carroll, Director of Programs and Communications at Warren Rural Electric, at 6:33am a main power feed from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) failed, causing outages for approximately 20,000 Warren RECC customers.

The problem was located and power was restored around 7:23 this morning.
