"Western Kentucky University has a tremendous partnership with Fruit of the Loom and Russell Athletic. In addition to our outstanding working relationship, Fruit of the Loom is an important local corporate enterprise and we share the goal of making positive contributions to the Bowling Green community. We have had conversations with them, and we are comfortable with their business decisions as they have explained them to us. We stand behind our partnership and remain committed to growing the business relationship and retail opportunities that exist between WKU and our corporate neighbor."

-Statement from Todd Stewart, WKU Associate Athletics Director/Communications

A dozen major universities have already cut ties with Russell Athletic amid the anti-union allegations. Russell Athletic is owned by Fruit of the Loom.
