National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Tuesday night, survivors, and supporters, joined in a show of light to promote awareness of domestic abuse.

Many of the women at the candle light vigil shared their personal stories, as they asked the community to support those who are suffering from abuse.

The vigil was hosted by the Barren River Area Safe Space, Inc. BRASS an organization that works to help victims of domestic abuse.

If you are someone you love are living with abuse, you can call the BRASS hotline for help at 1-800-928-1183.
