Governor Ernie Fletcher is expected to announce today that he's removing tolls ahead of schedule on two Western Kentucky highways.
They're the Audubon and Natcher Parkways.
The "major transportation announcement" will take place at the Hartford Toll Plaza on the Natcher Parkway between Owensboro and Bowling Green.
The state built some 700 miles of toll-road parkways in the 1960s and 70s.
There are three toll stops traveling from Owensboro to Bowling Green totaling a dollar and a half.
Eighteen wheelers have to pay four dollars and a half.
