Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Chandler pledged to create 100,000 new jobs during a campaign stop in Bowling Green on Monday.

Chandler blamed the current poor state of Kentucky's economy on what he called the "Bush-Fletcher mismanagement" of national economic policy.

Chandler's plan calls for state grants to fund new job-skills training for unemployed workers. Chandler says he will fund the new grants by cutting the state's vehicle fleet by 33-percent, cutting state worker's cell phone use by 15-percent, and cutting 1,000 jobs a year through attrition.

The Fletcher campaign promised to unveil more of their jobs plan on Tuesday.
