Four children are dead today in a public housing complex in Louisville, Ky.
Lieutenant Colonel Philip Turner said authorities found an injured woman in an apartment at the Iroquois Homes complex. Turner said she is being treated for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at a city hospital.
Police were notified of the deaths when a man went to police headquarters around 9 a.m. and told homicide detectives that he had killed his family.
Turner said the children appeared to be 8 years old or younger. He did not disclose the types of injuries that the children suffered.
Turner also said the family appeared to be of Somalian descent, and volunteer translators are assisting police.
