Anna Jaggers is left looking for a new place to move her business after city leaders announce the building she is currently in will no longer be for rent.
Jaggers has rented a city-owned facility in Brownsville since January. That's where her business, Hometown Cabinetry and Furniture, is located. But Jaggers says she's had to overcome a number of obstacles since moving there.
In September, she told us her landlord refused to help her after fire and flood waters destroyed part of her business. Jaggers says she's suffered thousands of dollars in lost wages and supplies. Now, her latest problem is mold.
"We're still breathing smoke and mold. I have mold in the shop that you can visually see. I just think something should be done about our quality until the lease is up."
Jaggers has until December to be out of the building. She is in the process of looking to purchase land so she can build a new store.
The city has recently pitched in to help clean up some of the water damage.
