Hawaii has been rattled by a quake of magnitude 6.3.
The U.S. Geological Survey also reported several aftershocks, including one measuring 5.8.
No damage reports are available, but power has been knocked out on the island of Oahu, where Honolulu is located.
The National Earthquake Information Center said the quake occurred near Kailua-Kona on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Researchers are still trying to determine how many aftershocks struck and how large they were.
