Logan Co. Man Faces Drug and Firearm Charges

A Logan County man faces drug and firearm charges.

The charges come after a shooting incident Sept. 5, 2006, at Roy Majors’ home on East Third Street in Russellville, Ky.

Police sadi Majors and Clarence Mallory exchanged gunfire and Mallory fled the scene. Mallory was found dead down the street. Police said Mallory was trying to rob Majors' home.

Investigators found about 12 grams of crack-cocaine in a safe at Majors' home. The street value crack is about $100,000 per gram.

If convicted Majors' could be sentenced life in prison, a $4.5 million fine and a supervised release after eight years in prison. Majors is scheduled to appear for arraignment on Nov. 22, 2006, in Bowling Green, Ky.
