Shelters and Soup Kitchens weren't the only places serving up hot meals for the hungry this Thanksgiving Holiday.
One Bowling Green man opened his doors to welcome in strangers for a free meal and good conversation.
From turkey and ham to casseroles, cakes and pies, James Conner's residence on Greenwood Alley might have looked like most others on Thanksgiving day... but there was more than just family at his gathering.
Since 1998, James Conner has been inviting any and all in need to join him for Thanksgiving. At first, he entertained a dozen or so guests... but that has grown to more than thirty guests who come and go throughout the day.
Family and friends say he's always been very giving and they're proud of James. But for James, he just says it's a really good feeling knowing that he was able to feed someone who was hungry. And some might say his guests came away from their Thanksgiving feast with more than just food, as they took with them the true spirit of giving.
