The economy in Indiana is forcing some Amish families to get in line for unemployment.
Applying for help from the government goes against what they believe, but tough times call for desperate measures.
About 23,000 Amish men, women, and children live in Elkhart and LaGrange county.
They normally rely on each other and the church in tough times.
Nolt also says northern Indiana has one of the nation's largest Amish settlements.
Over the years, most Amish workers have shifted from farming to factory work in Elkhart and LaGrange counties.
