A Western Kentucky couple is in custody after avoiding law officials for eight years.
Using the fake names, Barry and Jamie Dixon, Christopher Dwayne and Helen Kay Smith were convicted in 1998 on wire and mail fraud charges.
Federal Authorities say the couple defrauded insurance companies by staging accidents and filing claims.
The couple was released on bail but fled with their two children to Owensboro before sentencing could take place.
Police went to their home on Friday in response to complaint by a neighbor and were taken into custody when they couldn't produce identification.
The couple will appear in Federal court in Bowling Green.
