The race for Bowling Green City Commission is heating up with less than a week until the mid-term election. It's a battle between three incumbents, one former commissioner and four candidates who have never run for the office before.
When new city commissioners are elected, one thing they'll have to deal with is Bowling Green's changing downtown. Some of the projects adding momentum to the redevelopment revival are Circus Square, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center and a new Chamber of Commerce.
We wanted to know how many of the candidates support these projects, all spearheaded by previous commissions. We ask the candidates if they think the push for downtown redevelopment is a good idea, a waste of money and what, if anything, should be done differently?
