Two former Glasgow city workers accused in a payroll scandal will have their cases heard in another county.
Susie Pollock and Lorene Hoffman are accused of theft by deception in connection with payroll irregularities.
The case originally involved Glasgow mayor and former police chief, Darrell Pickett. But Pickett’s charge of complicity to theft by deception was dropped last month.
A judge dismissed the case against Pickett when Pollock and Hoffman invoked their fifth ammendment right and refused to testify in Pickett’s trial.
Earlier this week a request for a change of venue in Pollock and Hoffman’s trial was granted. The case will now be heard in Metcalfe County in May of 2007.
