State auditor Crit Luallen is planning to announce today her intentions for the 2008 governor's race.
Luallen, a Democrat, has scheduled a 2 p.m. news conference today at her home where she will "make an announcement about her future."
The state auditor has been one of the people talked about as a possible candidates to challenge Republican Governor Fletcher next year. Many democrats had been waiting until after last week's election to declare their intentions.
Luallen, a former aide to Governor Paul Patton, was elected as state auditor in 2003 after defeating republican nominee Linda Greenwell by more than 15,000 votes.
