Nancy Albright, Kentucky Highway Department Maintenance Director, says, "They brought their own equipment, including tow trucks and graders and things to help. We had a real thick layer of ice we weren't prepared to get off, and we had to bring in special equipment from contractors and from the National Guard to help make sure we could get the roads back open."
