Green River Transpark Update

What’s expected to be a hub of economic development has another new tenant as the Inter-Modal Transportation Authority announced that the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative will join the Transpark.

The GREC plans to construct an administrative and training facility on 6.1 acres on the Kentucky Transpark site.

“They are all going to be located in close proximity and that’s very important for the future of South central Kentucky to have our educational resources grouped right together; folks all working together for the better man of our community and for educational attainment for the region," said James N. Hizer, president and CEO of Kentucky Transpark.

County Judge Executive, Mike Buchanon feels the move is going to be great for Warren County and Bowling Green.

“It makes a tremendous statement to prospects who are visiting Bowling Green/Warren County, and it helps them to make the right decision in locating at the Transpark,” Buchanon said.

Liz Storey, Executive Director of the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative said it is a win-win situation for them and the Transpark.
