Many of you who drive through Russellville Road when it's flooded will be happy to hear that the Transportation Department is looking to solve the problem.

The State Transportation Department recently received a $5,000 grant from Frankfort. The grant money is being used to research different ways to solve the flooding on Russellville Road. They say the road was not originally designed to handle such traffic and flooding.

Transportation officials plan to install a storm-water sewer system that will spill out into Jennings Creek. They will continue to study different plans though for about another month before they ask for more funds to start construction.
