Next year, the City-County Planning Commission will be under new leadership. That's because it's current boss is stepping down at the end of this year.
Andy Gillies is vacating his post for a job closer to his home state. Gillies has accepted a job as planning director for Farmers Branch, a suburb in Texas. Both Gillies and his wife are Texas natives.
Gillies told WBKO it was a hard decision but he appreciates the mayor, other citizens and city officials who he's worked with here.
Gillies also said his biggest accomplishment during his tenure was facilitating growth and long-term planning for Warren County.
