The Bowling Green Purples have a spot in Friday's Class 3-A State Title game with Covington Catholic at Papa John's Stadium in Louisville, Ky.
The team has worked hard all season to get to this point, and Bowling Green High School wasn't about to let them leave Nov. 30, 2006, without a proper send off.

"I'm very pumped up and ready to go in there and show some energy and get everyone hyped."

They're enthusiastic and electric and they're going after a state title. But the Bowling Green Purple pep rally isn't just for the players, it's also for the crowd.

"It's the best pep rally we've ever had."

"It's very cool fun"

"We have to win this one, we just have to win state."

"I think we'll win this year, because our seniors are the best!"

Fans of all ages filed into the school gymnasium Nov. 30, 2006, to wish the Purples well in Friday's game. This is the second straight year the team has been in the state finals. If they win, it'll be their first state victory since 1995.

The Bowling Green - Covington Catholic game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. central standard time Dec. 1, 2006, at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville.

You can still purchase tickets at Bowling Green High from 8-11 a.m.

The cost is $7 at the school and $10 at the gate.
