LIBERTY, Ky. (AP) -- A Kentucky preacher's wife has been indicted on a murder charge by a Casey County grand jury in the 2005 shooting death of her brother-in-law.

The Advocate-Messenger of Danville reports that Verginia "Gina" Lee of Liberty was released from jail Monday after posting bond. The 40-year-old Lee is married to a Methodist preacher.

She was charged in the death of George Green, and her 61-year-old father, Ronnie Evans, was charged with first-degree manslaughter.

According to the indictments, Lee and Evans allegedly went to Green's apartment and caused his death by striking and shooting him.

Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman says new evidence was vital to the case, but declined to discuss details.

Coffman says police were called to Green's residence several times for domestic incidents in the year leading up to Green's death.
