Thousands in Warren County have been without power most of Tuesday after severe storms pushed through our area.

Crews from Warren Rural Electric Co-Operative have been working to get power restored in the Richardsville area.

"We got face poles broke and our transmission line... we got one of those broke," says lead lineman for WRECC, Josh Poston.

Tilting poles and broken lines.

WRECC have been working for hours to restore power.

3 new face poles have to go up and 4 transmission poles too.

But the sloppy weather isn't doing the workers any favors.

"We've got a lot of bad conditions we're dealing with. A lot of
mud... a lot of rain," continues Poston.

Leaving many in north Warren County searching for other things to do.

"Mostly towards the Richardsville area. Everything seems to be concentrated in this one spot here," notes Poston.

Anna resident, Lonnie Spear and his family lost power around 2 o'clock and just decided to use the power outage as a reason to do some much needed work outdoors.

"Once it quit raining, we pretty much got busy outside pulling weeds. Since the ground was so soft and its a good time with the rain and everything, there's been a lot of weeds growing," says Spear, with a smirk.

Spear says so far the lack of electricity hasn't really been a bother to them.

Yet he's ready should the power outage go on deep into the night.

"Probably like when then power went out last week, we'll just have a
candlelight supper, take an early shower and got to bed early."

Warren Rural Electric had crews out working from Bowling Green, Leitchfield, and Franklin.
