The death of a Western Kentucky man, whose body was found inside a burned car, was the result of smoke inhalation.
State Police responded to the burned vehicle on Kentucky 189 yesterday and found 27-year-old James Adkins of Hopkinsville, inside.
The exact cause of the fire has not been determined, but a recently-wired voltage regulator is being considered and a dropped cigarette has not been ruled out.
Adkins’ death was ruled accidental, following an autopsy.
