Christmas is the season for giving, but it isn't any different for one local business that gives all year long.
Needy families won't have to go without coats or warm clothes this season, thanks to Miss Annie's Place in Bowling Green, Ky. The clothing bank also offers free personal items and shoes. For the past two years, Hilda Sarver has been operating the store. She said it is the vision of former housing inspector Annie Link who understands the needs of this community.
Shoppers come to Miss Annie's Place from as far as Nashville, Tn., to get free clothing. But Sarver said in order to get cleaning supplies or personal items, you must live in the Enterprise Community in Bowling Green. The store accepts donations year round and right now they say they are running low on children's clothing.
Miss Annie's Place is located at 422 Conrad Court in Bowling Green.
It's open Tues. and Thurs. from 9-11:30 a.m.
