Bluegrass Airport Releases Dispatch Tapes

The emotional impact felt the day Comair Flight 5191 crashed, just outside the Bluegrass Airport, is back on the minds of those affected by the accident.

Nearly four months later, the investigation into this crash continues but the FAA ordered the airport to release the dispatch tapes. They feature the lone air traffic controller and the first officers on the scene after the plane went down.

The National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the Aug. 27, 2006, crash that killed 49 of 50 people on board.

During briefings the week after the crash, NTSB officials gave no signal that there was more that could have been done to save additional lives with a quicker response.
